Origin Story
St. John Bosco is remembered as a fatherly saint of the young, a teacher, a founder, and a tireless helper of boys who needed guidance and protection. Catholics turn to him for youth, fatherhood, vocation, and practical charity.
Instructions
Traditionally prayed from January 22 through January 30 in preparation for the feast of St. John Bosco on January 31.
The Fisheaters novena text is a simple petition that asks Don Bosco for help, trust, and prayers before God the Father.
Pray the same Don Bosco prayer each day, especially for youth, education, fatherhood, guidance, and perseverance.
It is especially fitting for parents, teachers, priests, and anyone trying to keep young people safe and faithful.

Day 1: Closeness to Jesus
Ask Don Bosco to draw you close to Jesus with sincere confidence.
Daily Prayer
O holy patron of the youth, I come to you with sincere confidence in your closeness to Jesus. Saint John Bosco, I need your help, I need your prayers, I need your intercession to God for His grace to help me with this present need. With your love of Mary, our Mother, pray for me. With your love for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, pray for me. With your love for all those who suffer, pray for me. Don Bosco, please pray fervently for the grace that I now ask from God our Father, and pray also that I may have a sincere acceptance of the will of God and a perfect trust in Him. Amen.
